Assistant General Chairperson - Four Year Term
Arther Jackson was elected Assistant General Chairperson in 2004. He previously served as Vice President of Local Lodge 17871, San Francisco.
Jackson has been involved in union leadership since 1995 when he was elected Safety Committee Person for Ramp Service. In 1999, he was elected Ramp Committee Person for SFIO Ramp Service and in 2002 he was elected Chairperson of the Grievance Committee.
Jackson's experience includes more than 600 IRHs, seconds steps and third steps in nine years. His five mediation cases and one arbitration case were all won by the union. In addition, Jackson was lead negotiator in contract talks with Scientific Concepts.
Jackson has attended the William W. Winpisinger Education & Technology Center to obtain a Bachelor's Degree in Labor Studies. He has also taken certification courses in Human Factors in Maintenance, Flight Safety, CPR & First Aid, Cultural Leadership Training and the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service.
