Assistant General Chairperson - Two Year Term
Assistant General Chair Bobby Worthman has been a member of District Lodge 141 since he began his career with United Airlines at JFK in 1976.
In 1979, he walked the picket lines in the strike against United for 59 days. He was furloughed in 1982 and again in 1984 before transferring to Denver -- where he currently resides.
Worthman became a Shop Steward in 1999 and a Grievance Committee chairperson in 2004, where he represented Ramp and Stores members, Public Contact employees and Reservations workers. In January 2008, Worthman was appointed to Assistant General Chairman (AGC) replacing Assistant General Chair Ira Levy.
He has completed courses in leadership, field advocacy and contract negotiations at the William W. Winpisinger Education & Technology Center.
Worthman has presented many grievances and has been a witness in arbitration cases. He currently represents DL 141 members in Denver, San Antonio, Austin, Sioux Falls, Billings.
