Rich Pascarella has served as District Lodge 141 Vice President East since 2004.
Pascarella has been Lead Ramp Service worker with United at Washington Dulles and National Airport since 1989. He is currently Local Lodge 1759 Grievance Committee Chair.
At Local Lodge 1759, he serves as the Lodge’s Vice-President and Educator. He previously served as Trustee and Conductor/Sentinel and as a member of the Legislative, By-Laws, MNPL, Education and Good of the Order Committees.
During the legislative process for the Protecting Employees and Retirees in Business Bankruptcies Act of 2007, Pascarella, along with General Vice President Robert Roach Jr., spoke out on Capitol Hill and met with U.S. Senator Ted Kennedy, U.S. Richard Durbin, and AFL-CIO Secretary-Treasurer Rich Trumka on behalf of air transportation workers.
Pascarella was elected to IAM Grand Lodge Conventions in 1996, 2000 and 2004 and District Lodge Conventions between 1996 and 2004.
Pascarella is Vice President of the 11th District of the Virginia State Council of Machinists. He was on the Screening Committee in 1999 for the Public Contact and Ramp/Stores Agreements and served on the negotiating committee for the 2005 IAM/United Airlines Bankruptcy Collective Bargaining Agreement.
